Security Alarm Technician

In this job, you will often be a primary point of contact for our customers, building rapport while using your expertise to provide high-quality installation services.

Qualifications we look for:

  • Detail orientation and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Desire and ability to obtain a North Carolina alarm license
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Preferred: Computer skills, electronics training and/or experience working with prewiring and installation work

Fire Alarm Technician 

We are looking for a motivated, goal and team-oriented, fire alarm and low voltage prewire/installation technician. You will often be a primary point of contact for our customers and will need to build rapport and use your expertise to provide high-quality installation services and ensure customer satisfaction with both the system and installation process.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required

  • Desire and ability to obtain a North Carolina alarm license
  • Detail orientation and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively both on an individual basis and as part of a team
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • North Carolina Driver’s License
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience fire alarm systems
  • Knowledge of NFPA 72

Preferred

  •  A thorough understanding of installing security systems (user interaction, troubleshooting, etc.) 
  • Experience with Ademco / Honeywell, Access Control systems, and Firelite commercial fire alarms
  • Electronics/electrical/HVAC/technical training at a trade school or community college
  • Computer Literacy, Ability to program and troubleshooting skills

Starting pay is based on experience with a performance review after 90 days.

Office Coordinator

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing person who is computer / process savvy and enjoys helping customers. This person should also be comfortable with coordinating service and sales schedules. In this position, your day will offer a variety of activities, including assisting the Company President, Vice President, Office Manager, Accountant, and other Secur-Tek team members with keeping the office organized and running smoothly.

Qualifications and Experience: 

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent: Associates Degree or better preferred
  • Strong communication and customer relationship skills
  • Computer and technology savvy, including accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel), scheduling appointments/updating calendars
  • A flexible, organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the company
  • Ability to work effectively both on an individual basis and as part of a team
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
